Ebullience
November 8 - December 13 , 2024, Tristan Hoare, London
“Everything is energy, and energy is not solitary, but collective.”
Ebullience explores the profound concept of impermanence through a striking interaction of color, pressure, and structure . Built under the high-pressure application of dry pigments and charcoal, the semi-monochromatic surfaces are physically etched and compressed with sharp, linear folds . These creases act as tight sheets of time, catching light and shifting shadows to create an unexpected sense of vast sculptural space.
Through this exploratory series, viewers are invited to visualize energy across a broad, vibrant color spectrum . It prompts a quiet recollection of memory where energy manifests as a delicate balance of buoyancy and stillness . Some works act as empty mirrors—free of passion or prejudice—allowing us to see things exactly as they are, in their totality.
By cutting through surface appearances, Ebullience creates a vast, spacious harmony where the interweaving laws of nature can be felt: a divine balance where everything that arises must also gently cease
